History

Saudi Arabian Development Co Ltd (SADC) was founded in 1977 in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the first economic boom that the country witnessed starting the second half of the 1970s. SADC, and in view of the major economic development that touched on every aspect of Saudi business and socio-economic life, have grown and diversified its business activities to capitalise on the exceptional business opportunities that a fast growing economy such as the Saudi economy, is providing. This led the Company to specialise in the fields of oil, gas, petrochemicals, manufacturing and the supply and servicing of major primary industries and enterprises.

In order to enhance its in-house capabilities in hand with the capturing of rewarding economic and business opportunities, SADC entered and since its inception in various forms of associations with major international companies in the areas of engineering, procurement, construction and distribution.

Considering the increasingly stringent specifications and high requirements set by SADC’s clients, SADC acquired new systems and know-how to ensure efficient running of the SACD’s operations minding quality, simultaneously with learning to adhere to cost structures that ensure its competitive pricing in a very competitive Saudi market.

Over the years, SADC achieved exceptional growth through specialization in four distinct growth business activities:

  • Engineering and construction.
  • Supplies and trading.
  • Industrial manufacturing and services.
  • Information and Communications Technology (ICT).

Separate organizational structures were created to manage each of the above different business activities with regard to their distinct specialization and to ensure efficient operations.
